Hello Fantasy Faithfuls, three more weeks of football, let's make the most out of it! The Wild Card weekend got us some really good football and I believe that the Divisional Round will be just as good. I am again focusing heavy on DFS with my weekly Fanduel lineup that is somewhat different this time around.
Before I get into today's article I would like to highlight some changes to the Patreon Page. In 2020 you will have the opportunity to join the CSD Fantasy Discord server as a Patron. This means that you get access to a server where you can ask questions and know that I will get a notification. I get so many questions on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram that sometimes I miss one. With the Discord server you have a guarantee that I will answer Your questions! Check it out with by clicking here.
Today, I will give you my DFS team for the Sunday Wild Card games. I will create one optimal lineup with my projections as starting point. The scoring will be 1 PPR scoring, salary will be $60,000, salaries are from FanDuel and I will be needing 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX and 1 DEF. Let's dig in!

Projection: Based on previous stats, trends and performances a player gets a projected score for the week. This number is heavily impacted by things like where the game is played, what team he plays and the players previous games in similar situations and previous games in general.
Opp. Rank: Ranking of the players weekly opponent. The higher the number the less points the opponent give up to the player's position. If the Opp. Rank is 1 that means that they are the team that give up the most amount of points to the player's position in the league.
I hinted about it in the first paragraph in this article, this lineup is somewhat different. I am actually $1,400 under budget in this week and I am 100% OK with this. I focused more on players that I want specifically for this week and less on the value of their salaries.
First of I wanted a bunch of Kansas City Chiefs players that would be involved in the passing game so of course I had to go Patrick Mahomes as my Quarterback. Furthermore I went with Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins to stack up. They have a ton of upside against the Texans as they give up the 14th most points to Receivers and 7th most to Quarterbacks. Only Davante Adams and the Vikings receivers have better matchups on paper this week but the Vikings play on the wrong day and have worse personal numbers so I am very happy with Hill and Watkins.
Carlos Hyde has a tough matchup against the Chiefs but he did very well against the last time around. I also have Aaron Jones as my flex, Travis Homer from the Seahawks and would have too many Chiefs players as I have them as my DST as well. So Carlos Hyde is kind of a default pick here that I am fairly OK with.
Homer disappointed me last week but I haven't given up hope for this week. The Green Bay Packers give up 18.1 to Running Backs on average so this is a good spot for Homer. With him getting only 1.1 yards per carry against the Eagles I think they will use him more in the passing game against the Packers.
I have Tyler Lockett for five receptions against the Packers and with everyone going for the Metcalf hype I see Lockett as more valuable as he will be less owned in DFS. With him having such a high Ceiling and a lower ownership percentage I see him as extremely valuable to win big this week.
Darren Fells and the Kansas City Chiefs DST are matchup picks. They have the best matchup at their position (excluding Packers Tight Ends that I really don't want). While I rounded out the team with Aaron Jones. He is one of my absolute highest ranked players for this week going against the Seahawks, a team that usually give up 24.3 on average to Running Backs in standard scoring. I can easily see Jones scoring 18.9 in PPR this weekend and be a fantastic addition in any DFS lineup!
